Twisted lies is the fourth book in the twisted series that focuses on the life of a fashion influencer — Stella Alonso. She is working on her side gig when she comes across her dream job of working with Delamont, but with big opportunities comes risk. Missing her work call due to Delamont dinner she is now fired from her permanent job.
When her manager suggests getting a fake boyfriend to increase her following, she is initially hesitant but follows eventually and comes face to face with CEO Christian Harper who offers to play the role. With Christian by her side she starts climbing the success ladder but nothing comes this easy. Stella finds herself in a stalker situation and has to move to Christian’s penthouse for safety.
But is this all to the story? Who is this stalker? What does Christian knows about him and is there a connection between the two? What is the secret of the turquoise ring in Christian’s pocket and what is he hiding?
PERSONAL THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK
The plot feels very familiar to all fake-relationship stories, but the difference is Christian Harper is more dangerous, more exciting, more rich, more devilish and with more secrets than anyone. He is the perfect evil turned good(for her) fictional character anyone can write. He is authoritative almost domineering in his speech and style which fits very nicely with the damessal in distress charachter of Stella Alonso.
There is no particular direction of the story. It’s all about truth and trust being the pillars of a relationship. How the right person will open you up and you will be able to reveal the darkest sides and desires of yours without even flinching once. It talks about how the right man will never let you down and no matter how many times you fight he will always be there when you need him.
[P.S. Him calling her butterfly is almost a dream.]
